As part of retail operations, this well known high street retailer was frequently being asked to fit the parts its sold. It became obvious that some sort of weathershield was desirable in a specially designated, accessible location. Having tried a number of different methods, we were asked to come up with a fast build, easy fix aesthetically professional facility with additional customer requirements built in.
We proposed a safety shelter with high visibility, safe access and egress and manufactured from both hot and cold rolled sections. This enabled us to focus structural strength where it was most needed and at the same time contain costs as it minimised cutting and welding time whilst making use of lower cost building materials which can be more easily transported and fixed on site.
The design includes drop down legs so that issues of level are not as relevant. The service shelters are being rolled out nationwide.
